No Equipment Workout
Why should you try a no equipment workout? Because gym equipment is expensive! I know, I just built my private training gym. Even getting things used can be very pricey. Because of this, a lot of my clients that are either just starting out or on a budget ask for workouts that do not use any equipment. This is a pretty easy task because there are so many great exercises that don’t use anything but your own body weight. In addition, you have a ton of stuff around your house that you can use for adding variety to your workouts.
Body weight workouts go in and out of style, just like anything else. Except maybe in the military where calisthenics are a part of daily life. Even with access to a gym, I do body weight workouts because of the convenience and economy of them. They can be done in your living room while watching a show, in a hotel room while traveling, even outside on a mountain top with the sun rising gloriously in the background (who does that?).
Six Move Workout
If you’re just getting started on your fitness journey, or need a travel friendly workout, look no further! This tough circuit will work your entire body and get your heart pumping. In addition, it's a true no equipment workout!
Warm-up
5 times running up a flight of stairs and walking down
3 sets of each - 15 reps each set
Squats
Push-ups
Bridges
Calf Raises
Chair dips
Mountain Climbers
The best part is, there are a ton more exercises out there to add challenge and variety even to this workout.
Do I still need a trainer for this?
I do recommend getting a trainer even if you just want to do body weight training. Form is incredibly important to avoid injury and a good trainer can design a program that targets exactly what you need. A general workout like this is great, but to really challenge your body and get the results you want, spend some time learning from a professional. Besides, they can also program around prior injuries, something that a basic workout on the internet can’t do! You can book online with me.
